Warhammer Bretonnian war altar and guards

In Warhammer 3rd edition the army of Bretonnia could include a war altar.

I always had a soft spot or war altars, as a kid, playing Warhammer 3rd edition, I tried to scratch build a Nurgle altar, inspired by the amazing one by Ivan Bartleet (you can see it here), but my 16 years old skill level didn't allow for a great result.

Roll forward 32 years, I decided to try again, this time with a Bretonnian one.

The army list entry allows for a wagon to carry the altar, as well as a maximum of 5 altar guards with heavy armour and halberds, so that's what I aimed for. I realized later that I should have given it a big banner as one with magical properties can also be added, but the model was compete, so it will have to do without.

The guards are from Grenadier models, I recently acquired them in a trade, they are quite chunky, but I like the models quite a bit.

WWII 8ty army British armour

These are the last two 1/48 models that IlVJ gifted me a couple of years ago.

They are part of my (very slowly) ongoing Bolt Action project to give my Afrika Korp an opponent.

So far I have collected 3 Tamiya 1é48 models and I will, at some point, add a box of plastic Warlord or Perry miniatures infantry.

I wouuld prefer the Perry figures, my Germans are Perry and I think it would be nice to have the Brits in the same style, but we'll see.

Here are a recce unit and a tank to support my still non existent infantry platoon.

Few new recruits for my Oldhammer Khorne army

I just finished half a dozen Chaos dwarfs of Khorne, these are WOTC models released for their Chainmail game of the early 2000, they looked mean enough that I decided to paint them as chaos dwarfs, to use in my warbands games and eventually add them to my Warhammer Khorne army, I will need to add 2 to the unit and I'll use them as either crossbowmen, or I'll house rule something for chaotic thunderers, it makes sense that Khorne would use gun powder weapons.

A couple of Mordhaim Middenhaimer

A small post while I try to take photos of other stuff I recently finished.

This week I have a couple of Middenhaim mercenaries for Mordhaim, nothing crazy, but they are nice figures that I will be able to use for multiple games.
