Final battle for Luthien - a Battletech photo dump

Last sunday, with my trusted group of Battletech players, we managed to play the last scenario we had set for the Clan invasion of the Draconis Combine.

This time the Coordinator himself, Takeshi Kurita, led the charge (quite literally), to drive away the hated clanners.

It was a special urban scenario where Shin Yodama (the Yakuza attache to the Draconis army) had to try and hold old Takeshi back from charging head first into the enemy for a proper Samurai hand to hand fight.

The scenario had special rules for this to see if the Coordinator in his golden Dragon could be held back or if he would charge head first into the enemy. Needless to say that I (controlling the Coordinato) managed to loose control and had to deal with a maniac charging the nearest enemy for the whole game.

Needless to say that it was a very dangerous situation. I managed to get to the end of the game (interrupted for lack of time) missing both arms and with a pilot wound for old Takeshi, but kicking a Loki several times and putting it in forced withdrawal.

The rest of the game was bloody, but went ok for the Kuritans that managed to keep the clan units mostly on their side of the table.

Point wise it was a draw, the amount of damage was pretty much the same, we lost a catapult to a very lucky 3 damage hit froma Man'O'War, but managed to cripple a few of the (already damaged) enemy units and destroy a Jenner IIC that soent most of its game jumping annoyingly from roof to roof.

The game was played on Gian's new urban mat with scenic elements scratch built by Omar.

Following is the photo dump:

A star of Smoke Jaguar that began the game on the table, already engaged with the Kuritan forces. All the clan units were survivors of previous games, so came on the board with the damage and ammo they carried with them.

These are the Nova Cat sent in as reinforcements. They entered the table's edge at the beginning of turn one.

Shin Yodama on his Phoenix Hawk.

The coordinator with his bodyguard of assault mechs.

The Tiger's Claws, the Coordinator personal unit.

Photos of the game, the chronological order might not be completely accurate, since they came from four different sources and were a bit hard to arrange properly.

These are a bit of fun with AI.
