Some unusual models

This week we have the first of a few posts that will irregularly appear.

As readers might already know, IlVJ worked for Games Workshop Japan for some 7 years in the early 2000s.

After he left and the Japanese branch was restructured, most of his co-workers also left the company.

One of them, Tsuchiya San, ended up opening an independent store with another guy from GW Japan.

Unfortunately Tsuchiya San recently passed away and his wife donated his collection to former co-worker and friends in the hope that his miniatures would find a new home.

My brother sent most of these figures to me since he does not have much space in Japan and I am (at least I was before the move) a more prolific painter, so that we can honor the memory of his friend and fulfill his wife's wish.

So far I managed to restore some figures he had already painted and get to us chipped and a bit damaged. More stuff will come in the future without a plan and whenever I manage to complete something.

I will make sure to point out which are Tsuchiya San figures every time I post some of them.

The first little bunch are some Warhammer Fantasy Skinks.

More refurbishments

This week we have more refurbished models.

The first three are Warzone figures, specifically Tribes of the Earth Templar horde troopers. As before they had been dipped and I went over and highlighted them a bit.

The other one is a Dark Eldar figure. I was never a fan of the concept of Dark Eldar, but this was a model I was gifted by a friend half painted for a Necromunda game.

She was used as a Necromunda hive scum, after more than fifteen years I decided to quickly finish it and get it done with.
