When my brother visited in January, he brought me a few Tamiya kits, amongst which was a German motorcycle with sidecar which I just finished assembling and painting.
Apparently it is really good in game, I hope I'll have a chance to try it out as soon as possible.
These are the last two 1/48 models that IlVJ gifted me a couple of years ago.
They are part of my (very slowly) ongoing Bolt Action project to give my Afrika Korp an opponent.
So far I have collected 3 Tamiya 1é48 models and I will, at some point, add a box of plastic Warlord or Perry miniatures infantry.
I wouuld prefer the Perry figures, my Germans are Perry and I think it would be nice to have the Brits in the same style, but we'll see.
Here are a recce unit and a tank to support my still non existent infantry platoon.
This is a Tamiya 1/48 scale kit that IlVJ gifted me a couple of Christmases ago, I finally completed it, I'll be using if for Rifts, as a mercenary unit apc.
It is a modern day Japanese Defense Force vehicle, but it looks modern and I thought it would work well for that setting.
This is a model that my brother gifted me for Christmas a couple of years ago, I built and airbrushed it last summer and finally got around to complete it.
I don't yet own a German army, but IlVJ does, so it could be used there, I might even end up putting one together eventually.
This is a couple of German WWII tanks that IlVJ painted a while ago to add to his late war army.

I got this model when I visited IlVJ in Japan last February. It is a British utility car that I painted in 8th army colours for my future Bolt Action force to face my Afrika Korps.
It probably is not the most useful model, but I really like small utility vehicles, and found this in a second hand store, so I had to get it.
Ho comprato questo modellino quando sono andato a trovare IlVJ in Giappone lo scorso febbraio. E' un'auto di servizio che ho dipinto nei colori dell'orrava armata britannica in Africa, per il mio futuro esercito da far scontrare con l'Afrika Korps che ho dipinto.
Probabilmente non sara' il modello piu' utile che abbia mai comprato, ma mi piacciono molto i veicoli di servizio e avendo trovato questo modellino in un negozio dell'usato, non potevo non prenderlo.
I finally completed my first 28mm WWII army, a small force of DAK for Bolt Action.
It started as an (successfull) attempt from my brother to get me into Bolt Action, a friend gave him an already assembled box of Perry Miniatures german Afrika Korp infantry, he added a tank and armoured car from Tamiya and later sent me a Rommel figure from Warlord.
During my last visit to Japan I picked up a couple more service vehicles and IlVJ gave me a Kettenkrad and a few Fallshimjaeger and here we are, a nice small army ready to go.
I painted the infantry first and very quickly (except the Fallshimjaeger who got a little more love) and then worked on the tanks with the excellent AK weathering products and done, a new little army for me.
I'm really happy with the overall result, now all I need is a comparable force of British and I'll be able to play some games, let's hope it doesn't take me too long to get around to it.
Ho finalmente completato il mio primo esercito in 28mm della Seconda guerra mondiale, un piccolo distaccamento della DAK per Bolt Action.
Il progetto e' iniziato come un tentativo (riuscito) di mio fratello di tirarmi dentro a Bolt action, un suo amico gli aveva dato una scatola di fanteria dell'Afrika Korp della Perry Miniatures, lui ci ha aggiunto un carro ed un'autoblindo della Tamiya e mi ha successivamente spedito la miniatura di Rommel della Warlord.
Durante il mio ultimo viaggio in Giappone ho comprato un paio di veicoli di servizio, IlVJ mi ha dato un Kettenkrad ed una manciata di Fallschirmjaeger e voila', un esercitino di tedesco pronto da dipingere.
Ho dipinto pirma la fanteria alla buona (tranne i Fallschimjaeger che hanno ricevuto un po' piu' di cura) dopodiche' ho fatto i veicoli usando gli ottimi prodotti per l'invecchiamento della AK ed ecco un nuovo piccolo esercito pronto per il tavolo da gioco.
Adesso non mi resta che mettere insieme una forza equivalente di Inglesi e potro' iniziare a fare qualche partita, speriamo solo che non mi ci voglia troppo tempo.
