Dragonlance, Huma on Silver Dragon

 This model is part of a trade that IlVJ did with one of his co-workers years ago.

 It is a quite old Ral Partha model that we got already painted and I just wanted to touch it up, unfortunately one of the wings broke and it sat there waiting for almost fifteen years. I finally decided to repair and restore it.

I touched up the dragon itself and repainted the rider, the famous Huma Dragonbane from the Dragonlance saga. 

I also mounted it on a base that I decorated with rocks. I'm pretty pleased with the result, it turned out to be way more work than expected, but it was worth the effort.

Bretonnian duke on dragon/Duca Bretonniano su drago

 This is a Ral Partha dragon model I got in a trade few years ago. It came with no rider, but after a while I got some Ral Partha Anglo-Norman knights and, being from the same period and the same company, they matched the dragon in scale, so it was a very easy matter to stick one in the saddle and make a Bretonnian duke riding a dragon.

The dragon was a riding beast option for Bretonnians in Warhammer 3rd adition, so I was glad to add it to my army, in a few months I should also be able to complete a few cavalry and infantry units made with models from the same age and manufacturer.

Questo e' un drago della Ral Partha che ricevetti in uno scambio qualche anno fa. Il drago era senza cavaliere, ma qualche tempo dopo, sempre in baratto, ricevetti dei cavalieri Anglo-Normanni della stessa marca e dello stesso periodo, quindi fu una semplice operazione mettere uno dei cavalieri sulla sella del drago per fare un duca bretonniano su drago.

Il drago era un'opzione di cavalcatura in Warhammer terza edizione, quindi sono stato felice di aggiungerlo al mio esercito, tra qualche mese dovrei anche riuscire a completare qualche unita' di fanteria e di cavalleria della stessa marca e dello stesso periodo da aggiungere all'esercito.

Old miniatures for Heroquest and RPGs/Vecchie miniature per Heroquest e GDR

IlVJ has started painting more miniatures to use with his recently restored Heroquest set and is pulling out some of our old old models.

IlVJ ha incominciato a dipingere altre miniature da usare con il recentemente restaurato set di Heroquest e sta tirando fuori alcuni pezzi molto molto vecchi.

Black dragon/Drago nero

This week a big fantasy model, a Grenadier dragon that I recently got in exchange for some painting. I decided to paint it black since that is the only chromatic dragon that I don't have painted, it also fits the model really well.
I think Grenadier dragons are some of the best, great design, good size and huge variety, I will try to get another one done soon, stay tuned.

Questa settimana un modello fantasy grande, un drago della Grenadier che ho avuto di recente come pagamento per della pittura.
Ho deciso di farlo nero siccome e' l'unica varieta' di drago cromato di cui non avevo un esemplare, inoltre il nero si addice particolarmente a questo modello.
Penso che i draghi deooa Grenadier siano tra i migliori, splendido design, dimensioni adatte al gioco ed enorme varieta' di modelli, spero di finirne un altro presto, state sintonizati.

Three headed dragon/Drago a tre teste

This is the latest dragon I painted. I assembled and airbrushed it red lat summer, but never got to finish it, until now. I painted it red as the Immortal ruling over all dragons in the old D&D Known world (Mystara) was a red three headed dragon known as "The great one". I don't think I'll be using this model a lot on the gaming table as it weights almost a kilo, but it was real fun to assemble and paint/Questo è l'ultimo drago che ho dipinto. L'avevo montato e dipinto di rosso con l'aerografo l'altra estate, ma poi era rimasto fermo, finora. L'ho dipinto di rosso perchè, nell'ambientazione del vecchio D&D base, Mystara, l'Immortale signore di tutti i dragli era uno immenso drago rosso a tre teste chiamato "The great one". Non penso che questo pezzo vedrà molti campi di battaglia, pesa quasi 1Kg e sarebbe scomodo da usare, però è stato divertentissimo da montare e dipingere.
