This is the first piece of terrain I did for ACW. As I go on painting figures I think I'll add some more buildings and maybe some fences and farm pieces/Questo è il primo elemento scenico completato per la guerra civile americana. Man mano che vado avanti con le miniature, penso che aggungerò anche altri edifici e magari delle staccionate ed accessori da fattoria.

A game of Epic and two new pieces of terrain/Una partita di Epic e due nuovi elementi scenici

Yesterday, after many many years, I had a game of Epic with Marco. We uswed the rules from Space Marines, those published in 1991, in my opinion the best GW ever did. Marco had never tried them before, so the game was a small 2000 point one, just enought to try out the rules. It was fun, and for the occasion I also finished a pair of big craters which will also be good for 40K/Ieri, dopo un sacco di anni, ho fatto una partita a Epic con Marco. Abbiamo usato le regole di Space Marines, quelle pubblicate nel '91, secondo me le migliori che la GW abbia mai prodotto. Marco non le aveva mai provate, quindi abbiamo messo su una piccola partita da 2000 punti, quello che basta per testare le regole. E' stata molto divertente, ed io ho anche colto l'occasione per dipigere un paio di grossi crateri che potrò anche usare per 40K.

Blood Angels Epic army/Esercito di Epic di Angeli sanguinari

This is part of a huge army of Epic Blood Angels that first appeared in WD 142, in October 1991. It was painted by Mike McVey and I'm very happy to have managed to "rescue" what's left of it/Questa è parte di un enorme esercito di Angeli sanguinari di Epic che apparve, per la prima volta, sul White Dwarf 142, nell'Ottobre del 1991. E' stato dipinto da Mike McVey e sono molto contento di essere riuscito a "salvare" quello che ne rimane.

Pictish army start/Inizio di esercito di Pitti

These are the first units of my dark age Pictish army. I still have quite a lot of stuff to paint, but the core of the army is here. The painting style I choose is a very simple one, basic colours with a wash of Citadel Devlan Mud. I thought that for an army with so many poor troops it wasn't worth spending too much time on rank and file models. I still have to paint 20 cavalry, 40 infantry from Gripping Beast that my riend John gave me (thanks mate) and a unit of old Citadel Vikings IlVJ gave me, still a lot of work to do/Questa è la prima parte del mio esercito di Pitti. Ho ancora un buon numero di modelli da dipingere, ma la base dell'esercito è fatta. Lo stile di pittura che ho scelto è molto semplice, colori di base con una lavatura di Devlan Mud della Citadel. Ho pensato che per un esercito con così tante truppe "povere" non valeva la pena di metterci troppo tempo. Ho ancora da dipingere 20 pezzi di cavalleria, 40 di fanteria della Gripping Beast che mi ha regalato il mio amico John e un'unità di vecchi Vichinghi della Citadel che mi ha dato IlVJ, ancora un bel po' di lavoro.

Great northern war Swedish/Svedesi della Grande guerra del Nord

These models are an experimend that me and IlVJ did with some Prince August models. We tried to paint them with flat black lined colours, in the best old school style we could achieve. I think the result is prety nice, even if the tamburin should have inverted colours/Questi pezzi sono un esperimento che io e IlVJ abbiamo fatto con dei modelli in 40mm della Prince August. Abbiamo provato uno stile molto "old school" con i colori piatti e una tecnica di black lining per dividere le varie aree di colore. Direi che il risultato non è male, a parte sul tamburino che dovrebbe avere i colori invertiti rispetto alle truppe.

Warhammer 40,000 battle/Partita di Warhammer 40,000

Last saturday, me, Felè, Hippie and il Garella had a game to test the new rules or Warhammer 40,000. It was a mini apocalypse game, 4,000 points per side, with my orks, all of them, facing Felè's vintage "green space marines". We only managed to complete two turns, but it was a nice game anyway/Lo scorso sabato, io, Felè, Hippe e il Garella abbiamo fatto una partita per provare le nuove regole di Warhammer 40,000. Abbiamo giocato un mini apocalisse, 4000 punti per parte con i miei orki, fino all'ultimo modelli dipinto, contro gli "space marines verdi" di Felè. Siamo solo riusciti a finire due turni, ma è stata comuque una bella partita.

The game ended in a draw when Ghazghkull killed the space marines psyker/La partita è finita in un pareggio quando Ghazghkull ha ucciso il bibliotecario dei marines.

American civil war figures/Pezzi per la guerra civile americana

These ar ethe first models i painted for ACW. I dipped them to finish them quickly, few more units and I'll be able to field two decent armies and start gaming. All the models are from Perry Miniatures, cheap and very nice plastics/Questi sono i primi pezzi che ho dipinto per la guerra civile americana. Li ho dippati per fare in fretta, ancora qualche unità ed avrò due eserciti di dimensioni sufficienti per iniziare a giocare. Tutti i pezzi sono della Perry Miniatures, economici e bellisimi pezzi in plastica.

Restored Epic Warhound titan/Titano Warhound di Epic restaurato

I painted this model a many years ago, and it had an horrid square base with some flock on it. Few days ago I decided it was time to give it a nice base, who knows, maybe it will even see some action in the future/Ho dipinto questo pezzo molti anni fa ed aveva una bruttissima base quadrata con del flock incollato sopra. Alcuni giorni fa ho deciso che era ora di cambiare il piedistallo, chissà che in futuro non debba scendere di nuovo in campo.
