More Warhammer dogs of War/Aggiornamento mercenari di warhammer

This extention to my Dogs of War army is something of a "special", all the models are very old and some of my favourite. The leftmost ogre in the picture below is the very first "big guy" IlVJ bought back in 1989. It was great to repaint it 20 years later. The giant was started a couple of years ago, but it took me until this september to complete it/Questa espansione del mio esercito di Mercenari è una sorta di "special", tutti i pezzi sono molto vecchi e tra i miei preferiti . L'ogre a sinistra della foto qui sotto è il primo mostro che IlVJ comprò nel 1989. E' stato molto divertente ridipingerlo 20 anni dopo. Il gigante l'ho iniziato circa 2 anni fa, ma mi ci è voluto fino a questo settembre per finirlo.

This very nice model is from an old series of "Young dragons" that Citadel published in the late '80s. During my modelling "career" few of these really good models passed through my hands, but somehow this is the only one I have left. Unortunately the others were trod or sold/Questo bel pezzo fa parte di una serie di "Giovani draghi" che la Citadel produsse alla fine degli anni 80. Durante la mia "carriera" di modellista me ne sono passati tra le mani diversi, ma questo è l'unico che mi è rimasto oggi, gli altri scambiati o venduti negli anni.

The Mighty fortress/Fortezza

This post is dedicated to the "Mighty Fortress", the castle kit that Citadel produced back in the 80's. I bought it in 1993 during a study holiday in England, at the Games Workshop store in Oxford street in London, and it has been lying aroud for some 16 years. Some years ago IlVJ painted a wall section and a tower, but the works stopped there for a long while. This year in June I decided that it was time to finish it once and for all. But again the works were slowed down by the stables which I started building in balsawood and took me forever. In a rush of modelling inspiration I took it again a couple of weeks ago and started to work on it again, this time for good and I managed to finish it. The only problem left to solve is how to store it safely from dust and damage./Questo post è dedicato alla "Mighty fortress", il castello che la Citadel produceva negli anni 80. La acquistai nel 1993 durante una vacanza studio in Inghilterra, al negozio Games Workshop di Oxford street a Londra, da allora si è aggirata per casa per circa 16 anni. Alcuni anni fa IlVJ pitturò una sezione di muro e una torre, ma da allora i lavori si fermarono per un lungo periodo. Quest'anno, a giugno, ho deciso che era ora di finirla una volta per tutte. Ma, di nuovo, i lavori si sono arenati a causa delle stalle che stavo costruendo in listelli di legno e che mi hanno preso un sacco di tempo. In un momento di rara isirazione modellistica, un paio di settimane fa, mi sono rimesso al lavoro ed ho rinalmente completato il progetto. Ora l'unico problema ancora da risolvere è come archiviarla al riparo da danni e polvere.
