Warhammer dogs of war and a (famous) dwarf/Mercenari di warhammer ed un nano (famoso)

I'm in a warhammer fantasy mood again, I'm again looking ar army lists (3rd ed obviously) and Realm of Chaos books, wishing I could find someone I could play those with. Because of this I'm painting fantasy stuff again, this week for you are a unit of Miragliano marksmen I expanded with all sorts of other models, all converted to carry crossbows.
I think this unit looks really good, with this rabble look and a good mix of very different models. I painted them black and yellow to make them from Averland province or Tilean crossbowmen mercenaries.

With them is the very famous Gotrek Gurnisson, I trode this model from a friend who had two, but I don't have Felix Jaeger, his companion, if someone out there has a spare one (possibly the older version who used to accompany this Gotrek), please let me know.


Al momento sono in una fase warhammer fantasy, rileggo gli army list (terza edizione ovviamente) e i libri di Realm of Chaos, sperando di poter trovare qualcuno interessato a giocare con questa versione. A causa di ciò, sto di nuovo dipingendo pezzi fantasy, questa settimana per voi, un'unità di Balestrieri di Miragliano che ho ampliato con ogni sorta di altri modelli, tutti convertiti con delle balestre.
Penso che l'unità sia venuta molto bene, con un aspetto raffazzonato e un buon miscuglio di pezzi diversi. Li ho dipinti gialli e neri per usarli cone balestrieri dell'Averland o come balestrieri mercenari tileani.

Insieme a loro c'è anche il famosissimo Gotrek Gurnisson, ho barattato questo pezzo con un amico che ne aveva due, ma non ho Felix Jaeger, il suo compare, se qualcuno ne avesse per caso uno d'avanzo (possibilmente la versione pi+ vecchia, quella che accompagnava questo Gotrek), per favore mi faccia sapere.

I painted these models some years ago to try out the then new Citadel washes, and they were just wased and left as they were. I recently felt obliged to highlight and tattoo them. This is the result.

Avevo dipinto questo pezzi alcuni anni fa per provare le allora nuove lavature Citadel, avevo dato loro una lavatura e lasciati così. Ultimamente ho sentito la necessità di lumeggiarli e tatuari. Ecco il risultato.

IlVJ recently got a copy of Terminetor, the game from RiverHorse, and he painted all the models, plus some extra characters

The resistance fighting it out with the machies. Apart from the characters, all the models come in the box, including the battle mat and the barricades/La resistenza alle prese con le macchine. A parte i personaggi, tutti gli altri pezzi sono inclusi nella scatola, anche il campo di battaglia e le barricate.

Some models I just finished, the SOMUA are just standard models, the Thunderbolt was a bit of a problem because I received it from a friend already partially built and brush painted, so you can see all the brush marks on the flat surfaces (ie the whole model). I tried to repaint it with airbrush, but to no avail, so I decided to finish it off and as it is covered with decals I hoped it would look decent anyway. The result is, in my opinion, barely decent, but seen from a distance on a battlefield it's not so terrible. The base comes from an old Matchbox tank, they came with these small scenic bases which are of no use for wargamers, unless used as bottom for plane flying bases, I think it looks quite good and still have a few to mount more planes.

Alcuni pezzi che ho appena finito, i SOMUA sono modelli standard, il Thunderbolt è stato, invece, un po' un problema perchè l'ho ricevuto da un amico già parzialmente montato e dipinto a pennello, quindi si vedevano i segli delle pennellate sulle zone piatte del modello (tutto). Ho provato a rifarlo con l'aerografo, ma si vedeva lo stesso, quindi ho deciso di finirlo così com'era, visto che è coperto di decals speravo che non si vedessero troppo le pennellate. Il risultato non è granchè, appena decente, ma su un tavolo da gioco, ad una certa distanza non si vede tanto e il modello è piacevole alla vista.
LA base viene da un vecchio carro della Matchbox. Li vendevano con queste basette sceniche che per un giocatore di wargames sono inutili, a meno di non usarle come piedistalli per degli aerei, secondo me sta bene e ha un bell'effetto scenico.

Warhammer 40,000 chaos space marines/Space marines del caos di Warhammer 40,000

Another three 40K models, I keep saying that I won't paint any more of these, but in the end there's always a few I finish up for some reason. If only the game wasn't so lame I could even think about using these models. Maybe I'll start playing old editions, Rogue Trader or second edition and put these models on a battlefield. Anyway, I enjoyed doing the conversions and painting them.

Altri tre pezzi di 40K, so che continuo a dire che non ne dipingerò più, ma ne spunta sempre qualcuno che devo finire per qualche ragione. Se solo il gioco non fosse così sgalfo potrei anche pensare di usare questi pezzi. Magari ricomincerò a giocare con le vecchie edizioni, Rogue Trader o la seconda edizione, e metterò questi modelli su un campo di battaglia. In ogni caso mi son divertito a convertirli e dipingerli.
